What type of steel pipe is usually used for the body of finned tubes? How are the cutting, bending, welding and other processes of the pipe body performed? How to ensure the dimensional accuracy and welding quality of the pipe body?

As an efficient heat exchange element, fin tubes play a vital role in power generation, petrochemicals, HVAC, refrigeration and many industries that require efficient heat transfer. Its design expands the heat exchange area by adding "fins" on the surface of the tube, thereby significantly improving heat transfer efficiency.
The choice of finned tube body material is crucial, as it directly affects the performance, durability and safety of the heat exchanger. Common pipe body materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, copper-nickel alloy, etc. The selection of these materials is mainly based on the characteristics of the medium in the working environment (such as temperature, pressure, corrosion) and cost considerations.
Stainless steel: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability, stainless steel finned tubes are widely used in highly corrosive environments such as petrochemicals and seawater desalination.
Carbon steel: lower cost and suitable for general industrial applications, but anti-corrosion measures are required in corrosive environments.
Alloy steel: Designed for specific high-temperature and high-pressure environments, such as petroleum refining and geothermal power generation.
Copper-nickel alloy: Particularly suitable for seawater cooling systems because of its extremely high resistance to seawater corrosion.

Pipe body cutting, bending and welding processes
Cutting: Use high-precision CNC cutting equipment, such as laser cutting or plasma cutting, to ensure that the length of the pipe body is accurate, while reducing the heat-affected zone and maintaining material performance.
Bending: Use advanced CNC pipe bending machines to perform cold or hot bending according to the preset bending radius and angle. Cold bending is suitable for bending thinner pipe walls and smaller radii, while hot bending is suitable for thick-walled pipes and large-radius bends, ensuring that the bent pipe body has no cracks, small deformation, and maintains the original mechanical properties.
Welding: The connection between fins and tube body usually uses high-precision welding technology such as high-frequency resistance welding, TIG welding or laser welding. High-frequency resistance welding is suitable for thin pipes, with fast speed and good weld quality; TIG welding and laser welding are suitable for occasions with extremely high weld quality requirements, such as medical equipment and high-end petrochemical equipment. Ensure the dimensional accuracy and welding quality of the pipe body
Dimensional accuracy control: During the manufacturing process, we use precision measuring tools, such as three-dimensional coordinate measuring instruments, inner diameter micrometers and outer diameter calipers, to strictly control the inner and outer diameters, wall thickness, fin height and spacing of the tube body to ensure that each All sizes comply with design requirements and international standards. In addition, we also use advanced CAD/CAM systems for design and simulation to detect and solve potential dimensional problems in advance.
Welding quality control: Welding is a key link in finned tube manufacturing. We use a variety of non-destructive testing technologies such as X-ray testing, ultrasonic testing, and penetrant testing to conduct comprehensive inspections of welds to ensure that there are no defects such as cracks, slag inclusions, and lack of fusion. At the same time, our testing laboratory is equipped with high-end equipment such as spectrometers and metallographic microscopes, which can conduct in-depth analysis of the chemical composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the welds to ensure that the welding quality reaches the highest standards.
Process control and inspection: After each process is completed, we will conduct strict inspections to ensure that each step meets the established standards.
